It’s time to center relationships.
We are here to help.
The Jewish community doesn’t need more programs to go to. We need more people to go with.
In an effort to create stellar Jewish programs and experiences, we often do not given enough attention or resources to what will actually invite and keep people connected to Jewish life: relationships. The evidence? Jewish institutions are offering high quality programs but not seeing deeper, long-term engagement. They are struggling to engage the unengaged, and find the unaffiliated. There’s a better way.
Our mission starts with you.
Our mission is to build the capacity of individuals, organizations, and communities to foster and cultivate relationships, ensuring more people can access relevant, active, and meaningful Jewish life.
We train change agents to bring a relational approach to every aspect of their work, prioritizing the quality of connections and Jewish experiences over attendance.
Through practicing our methodology of Relationship-Based Engagement, Jewish community leaders and practitioners are more equipped to serve their community members and build a meaningful Jewish communal life.
Building community through relationships.
At it’s core, Relationship-Based Engagement (RBE) is a systemic approach to centering relationships, getting to know community members based on their interests, ambitions, and passions, and then weaving together a relational community where everyone is seen and valued. We invest time and energy in getting to know our community members so that we can connect them to Jewish experiences that are uniquely meaningful to them.
We have honed this data-driven methodology over the last decade through our hyperlocal engagement work in Washington, D.C., and are continuing to our community work through the newly-launched East Bay city. We know this approach has the power to systemically transform an entire community and we are eager to share our relational toolkit with you.
